The referee ignored Falopa y Pasta Base's protests and gave Ricardo Gaueko a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Falopa y Pasta Base got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Gaueko. In the 9th minute Domingos Sauveur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Xabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Gaueko was shown his second yellow card after 10 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Salvador Benvide kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Ruben Confesor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lino Xabier. Falopa y Pasta Base's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruben Confesor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Lino Xabier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Benvide in the 27th minute of play. Falopa y Pasta Base's Lino Xabier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Confesor in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Benvide in the 30th minute of play forced Falopa y Pasta Base's goalkeeper Lino Xabier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Falopa y Pasta Base getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Fermin Gau hit a great ball. Domingos Sauveur struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Lino Xabier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmiento. Lino Xabier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Confesor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Falopa y Pasta Base's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Confesor came free, but Lino Xabier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruben Confesor to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Domingos Sauveur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domingos Sauveur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. After having played for 70 minutes, Tomás Kelemen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falopa y Pasta Base's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Kelemen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tomás Kelemen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Tomás Kelemen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falopa y Pasta Base's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Kelemen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Lino Xabier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lino Xabier made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ruben Confesor sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute Tomás Kelemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Gaizko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Falopa y Pasta Base booed when Sarmiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Garin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
