Oscar Beltran might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elvio Oihenarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Beltran ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Eate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Artizar in the 17th minute of the match. Elvio Oihenarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Beltran in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Derby County FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Artizar came free, but Pedro Eate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, EL CONDOR's Lorenzo Nafarroa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Eate was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oscar Beltran had several of the EL CONDOR's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Elvio Oihenarte as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of EL CONDOR booed when Derby County FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Beltran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Beltran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Elvio Oihenarte made a huge save. Valentin Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Oihenarte having to interfere.

Gustavo Menendo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Beltran in the 55th minute of play forced EL CONDOR's goalkeeper Elvio Oihenarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Guaberto Froylan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Pedro Eate managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when EL CONDOR's Claudio Oskitz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, EL CONDOR's Lucas Pes got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute of the match, Claudio Oskitz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Eate was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. EL CONDOR's Elvio Oihenarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Beltran in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match Hilario Sabin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elvio Oihenarte skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in EL CONDOR's zone, Valentin Ekialde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Oihenarte came out of the goal and Valentin Ekialde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Oscar Beltran came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Derby County FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Beltran couldn't finish the play. Elvio Oihenarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Beltran in the 87th minute of play. Oscar Beltran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Elvio Oihenarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Beltran in the 93rd minute of play forced EL CONDOR's goalkeeper Elvio Oihenarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Oscar Beltran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elvio Oihenarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Derby County FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
