The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicanor Tancredo to strike the kick off in the second half. When Nicanor Tancredo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Saint Etienne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Tancredo couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, La Naranja Mecanica FC's Raimundo Abalos got control of the ball when Fermin Oto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelino Montez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fermin Oto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Abalos having to make a save. Saint Etienne were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
