Emilio Rosario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Emenon having to interfere. In the 30th minute Maximiliano Nuno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Luzaide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Emilio Rosario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anier Emenon. Polvaredas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Rosario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Amancio Llorencs short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Anier Emenon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 45th minute, Amancio Llorenc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Nuno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polvaredas AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piojo Juniors the free kick. The supporters of Piojo Juniors booed when Polvaredas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Nuno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Rosario was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Polvaredas AFC's zone, Emilio Rosario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Emenon came out of the goal and Emilio Rosario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Emilio Rosario came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Piojo Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Rosario couldn't finish the play. Emilio Rosario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Emenon having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Polvaredas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Aurken. After having played for 67 minutes, Emilio Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piojo Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Rosario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Piojo Juniors's goalkeeper Ramon Luzaide, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 78 played minutes Piojo Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Miro. In the 80th minute Emilio Rosario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Emenon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Gines charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Gines the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Piojo Juniors booed when Polvaredas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Gines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Luzaide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Ermano in the 93rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Polvaredas AFC's Maximiliano Nuno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ramon Luzaide. That made the score 1-3 after 94 minutes of play. The Piojo Juniors manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Polvaredas AFC to win.
