Spectators: 7123 (Terracing: 5344, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 141) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Teodosio Bikendi took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Furia de Titanes got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Normando. Honorato Velasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregorio Maldonado having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Bernabe Urtzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matancilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Urtzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Maldonado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Honorato Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gregorio Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Urtzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Honorato Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Matancilla's zone, Alvaro Normando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Gudesteo came out of the goal and Alvaro Normando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bernabe Urtzi came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Matancilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernabe Urtzi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Velasco in the 29th minute of play forced Furia de Titanes's goalkeeper Gregorio Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Bikendi in the 31st minute of play forced Matancilla's goalkeeper Hilario Gudesteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Honorato Velasco notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Furia de Titanes's Gregorio Maldonado. Gregorio Maldonado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honorato Velasco in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregorio Maldonado saved Furia de Titanes from getting behind. If Honorato Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matancilla's Hilario Gudesteo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Bikendi in the 45th minute of play. The Furia de Titanes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Matancilla were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorato Velasco made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Alvaro Normando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Furia de Titanes's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Honorato Velasco 55 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. 59 minutes into the game, Honorato Velasco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gregorio Maldonado. Honorato Velasco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. With a little luck, Furia de Titanes's Gregorio Maldonado got control of the ball when Bernabe Urtzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gregorio Maldonado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honorato Velasco's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Gregorio Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregorio Maldonado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernabe Urtzi in the 76th minute. Bernabe Urtzi scored 0-4 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregorio Maldonado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Matancilla's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Bikendi came free, but Hilario Gudesteo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Gudesteo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Bikendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Furia de Titanes's zone, Bernabe Urtzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Maldonado came out of the goal and Bernabe Urtzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Matancilla could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Furia de Titanes throughout the match.
