Spectators: 7068 (Terracing: 5303, Seating: 1625, VIP seats: 140) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when João Augusto de Sena took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Claromeco's Ildefonso Erroman got a free kick in the 6th minute. Melquiades Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Manny in the 10th minute of play. Melquiades Shepherd came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by PINOCHO's Santo Gasteiz. But to his dismay, Santo Gasteiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th minute, João Augusto de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Santo Gasteiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Shepherd. Claromeco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Gasteiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Manny in the 24th minute of play forced Claromeco's goalkeeper Melquiades Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Claromeco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Bibiano to maneuver through the defense. Váldson Brodel scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melquiades Shepherd, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Melquiades Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Gasteiz in the 31st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Santo Gasteiz sped through Claromeco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Melquiades Shepherd. 43 minutes into the game, PINOCHO's Santo Gasteiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Shepherd made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santo Gasteiz was the one to do the kick off. Santo Gasteizs short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Melquiades Shepherd to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Melquiades Shepherd made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Váldson Brodel sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto de Sena in the 60th minute of play forced PINOCHO's goalkeeper Benjamin Isias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joaquin Regis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Claromeco booed when PINOCHO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Shepherd made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Dario Di Girolamo sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Joey charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Joey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 83 minutes into the match, Claromeco's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Gasteiz came free, but Melquiades Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melquiades Shepherd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Váldson Brodel in the 89th minute. PINOCHO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
