Teodosio Bilintx's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Melquiades Shepherd skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The shot was a little too simple and Melquiades Shepherd could save by the left post. 40 minutes into the match, Claromeco's goalkeeper Melquiades Shepherd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodosio Bilintx. After 43 minutes of play, Los Gugatzus's Teodosio Bilintx made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melquiades Shepherd was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute, Zeledon Eladio made a precise shot to the right of Melquiades Shepherd. Claromeco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Melquiades Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Bilintx in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Claromeco's zone, Teodosio Bilintx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Shepherd came out of the goal and Teodosio Bilintx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melquiades Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Bilintx, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute, Teodosio Bilintx ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Shepherd was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Melquiades Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Bilintx, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Teodosio Bilintx put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Melquiades Shepherd. One of Claromeco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Gugatzus:s goal. Los Gugatzus's Zeledon Eladio got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melquiades Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Bilintx in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute of the match Los Gugatzus got a corner. Claromeco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramiro Giraldo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ramiro Giraldo made a great header on Los Gugatzus's corner, it was just that Claromeco's Melquiades Shepherd managed to reach the ball for a save. 95 minutes into the game, Teodosio Bilintx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0.
