Generoso Faron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Bilintx in the 12th minute of the match. After 15 minutes, Aquilino Goren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. River Plate and the Los Gugatzus players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los Gugatzus booed when C.A. River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Goren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, C.A. River Plate's Aquilino Goren got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Carmelo Chesus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Ramiro Giraldo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Generoso Faron, passed just outside the right post. A hard shot 23 in the game by Teodosio Bilintx from a close distance when the talented Generoso Faron managed to make a qualified save. C.A. River Plate's players were relieved. After 26 played minutes Ramiro Giraldo rounded C.A. River Plate's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The Los Gugatzus fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Los Gugatzus's Teodosio Bilintx looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With his leg Generoso Faron managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Los Gugatzus's Teodosio Bilintx fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Teodosio Bilintx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Saverio Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Gugatzus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Montay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. C.A. River Plate's Generoso Faron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. River Plate from getting a goal against them. Esteve Matei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Celestino Basualdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Higinio Lazcano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Celestino Basualdo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Higinio Lazcano sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodosio Bilintx in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Generoso Faron prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodosio Bilintx blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Generoso Faron having to make a save. Teodosio Bilintx struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Generoso Faron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gugatzus. Los Gugatzus's Teodosio Bilintx got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Bilintx in the 74th minute of play forced C.A. River Plate's goalkeeper Generoso Faron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Saverio Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Gugatzus's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Montay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Generoso Faron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teodosio Bilintx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Eladio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes, Gaspar Che mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. River Plate and the Los Gugatzus players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee ended the match the Los Gugatzus players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
