The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tadeo Berbiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Felipillo in the 6th minute of play. When Lozano's Cesar Padro in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Xeneizes de Tandil's goalie prevented a goal. Cesar Padro scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadeo Berbiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tadeo Berbiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Padro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Los Xeneizes de Tandil's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Padro came free, but Tadeo Berbiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Xeneizes de Tandil's Tadeo Berbiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Patrido in the 17th minute of play. Cesar Padro took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tadeo Berbiz. Tadeo Berbiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 32 minutes into the game, Froilan Savion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Anacleto Quilo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Matxin in the 36th minute of play forced Los Xeneizes de Tandil's goalkeeper Tadeo Berbiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anacleto Quilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Savion in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Los Xeneizes de Tandil getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Fidel Valente hit a great ball. After 40 minutes of play, Lozano's Cesar Padro made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tadeo Berbiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anacleto Quilo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nebahattin Erginer in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesar Padro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Los Xeneizes de Tandil's Tadeo Berbiz got control of the ball when Cesar Padro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teobaldo Matxin hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Lozano's Arnoldo Patrido slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeo Berbiz. That made the score 2-4 after 55 minutes of play. Anacleto Quilo came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Los Xeneizes de Tandil's Nebahattin Erginer. But to his dismay, Nebahattin Erginer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Gualterio Jurgi kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Anacleto Quilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Savion, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Cesar Padro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tadeo Berbiz. That made the score 3-5 in the 73 minute of play. Anacleto Quilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Quirce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nebahattin Erginer in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Quilo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute, Cesar Padro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lozano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-6. 88 minutes into the match, Lozano's goal looked a bit too open when Nebahattin Erginer came free, but Anacleto Quilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
