The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fulgencio Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Urritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Fulgencio Liher made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Ruben Micael sent off a good shot on target. When Marcos Crescencio fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BAYCORPS's protests and gave Marcos Crescencio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of C.A.Piñeyro booed when BAYCORPS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Crescencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Urritz's late challenge caught a C.A.Piñeyro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Urritz helped the player get up and apologised. Denis Urritz kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. BAYCORPS's Marcos Crescencio got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, C.A.Piñeyro's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Crescencio came free, but Fulgencio Liher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Crescencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Denis Urritz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. C.A.Piñeyro's Clodoveo Benvido suffered a concussion in the 31st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. BAYCORPS's Haroldo Ramirez was responsible for 1-1 with a brilliant performance in the 40th minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Fulgencio Liher. Norberto Joey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute Marcos Crescencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes C.A.Piñeyro got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Lauren. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Crescencio in the 55th minute of play forced C.A.Piñeyro's goalkeeper Fulgencio Liher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteve Martinez got free with Norberto Joey in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the match, Denis Urritz notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of C.A.Piñeyro's Fulgencio Liher. Fulgencio Liher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nemesio Ponciano lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 71st minute, Nemesio Ponciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Ruben Micael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fulgencio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Urritz in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, BAYCORPS's Witalis Setara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Liher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. BAYCORPS made a substitution. Ramon Luken replaced Ruben Micael. Fulgencio Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Urritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulgencio Liher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Luken in the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. BAYCORPS had won after a very even match.
