The tension between the Colon de Santa Fe and the Trelew AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Trelew AFC booed when Colon de Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Nevada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Mon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Elpidio Inge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Ekialde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Abel Ekialde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Apolo Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Quintin in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Inge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danilo Quintin struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Elpidio Inge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trelew AFC. When Danilo Quintin came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Trelew AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Quintin couldn't finish the play. After 32 minutes of play, Trelew AFC's Cristo Mon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elpidio Inge was left in no man's land by his defense there! Danilo Quintin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Inge having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Cristo Mon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Inge. Colon de Santa Fe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristo Mon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Danilo Quintin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Ekialde was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Mon in the 52nd minute of play forced Colon de Santa Fe's goalkeeper Elpidio Inge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Trelew AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Ekialde came free, but Alvaro Di Ianni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Apolo Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Di Ianni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Cortez in the 75th minute of play. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colon de Santa Fe's goalkeeper Elpidio Inge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 92 minutes, Emanuel Eate mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trelew AFC and the Colon de Santa Fe players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Trelew AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Emanuel Eate hit a great ball. Serafin Frantzes missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 94 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Alvaro Di Ianni right hand side. Trelew AFC played a much better game than Colon de Santa Fe and deserved their victory. The Colon de Santa Fe players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
