Boca Juniors's Angelino Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Chucho in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Lixandro got free with Aaron Izotz in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35thth minute of the game Pastor Benvide who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Madrid's Aaron Izotz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Benvide came free, but Aaron Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pastor Benvide was the one to do the kick off.
