The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clodoveo Lluis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. EL PASAJE's Rene Osorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Betadur in the 9th minute of play. Zeledon Betadur hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Eloy Deunoro's late challenge caught a EL PASAJE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eloy Deunoro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Eloy Deunoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to EL PASAJE getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Leopoldo Dacio hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Alejandra's Eloy Deunoro got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 22 minutes of play, EL PASAJE's Arsenio Fidele made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Dalmu was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Luciano Dalmu managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when EL PASAJE's Ubaldo Frasquito fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rene Osorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Betadur in the 27th minute of play. If Zeledon Betadur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zeledon Betadur in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Osorio saved EL PASAJE from getting behind. Alejandra's Wilfredo Che got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

EL PASAJE made a substitution. Ezequiel Suero replaced Isaac Vela. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeledon Betadur made a kick off. Ubaldo Frasquito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Dalmu having to interfere. Luciano Dalmu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Frasquito in the 64th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arsenio Fidele in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luciano Dalmu saved Alejandra from getting behind. Rene Osorio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zeledon Betadur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 69 minute of play. Zeledon Betadur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eloy Deunoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rene Osorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
