Hector Herena hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Hector Herena fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Edgard Rivas's late challenge caught a Drabble's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Rivas helped the player get up and apologised. Hector Herena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vera's Hector Herena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arsenio Boniel. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. In the 44th minute Astor Gorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Boniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Perutxo during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, one of Drabble:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Drabble. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artemio Terciero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hector Herena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Astor Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Herena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Boniel having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Hector Herena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arsenio Boniel. Drabble's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hector Herena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Artemio Terciero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Terciero couldn't finish the play. Cristo Tabb struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Serafin Esiquio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drabble. David Frechoso hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vera fans cheered their team off the field, for while Drabble had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
