Spectators: 7132 (Terracing: 5350, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Gaudencio Urtats started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Cirilo Salvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th match minute, Meridiano AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Rene Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Urtats, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Estudiantes de La Plata's Prudencio Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Rubio in the 18th minute of play. In the 24th minute Gaudencio Urtats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Dolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Restu to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Meridiano AFC's Esteve Gerazan broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Meridiano AFC booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Guter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Estudiantes de La Plata's Gaudencio Urtats slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Dolfo. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. When Leonides Rencio came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Meridiano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Rencio couldn't finish the play. Candido Eleder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Rene Dolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Flavio Rubio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prudencio Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Gervasio Izotz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 53 minutes of play, Estudiantes de La Plata's Valentin Guter made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rene Dolfo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Meridiano AFC defense, Candido Eleder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rene Dolfo. The Meridiano AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Dolfo should have stopped the shot. When Gaudencio Urtats fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de La Plata's protests and gave Gaudencio Urtats a yellow card for diving instead. Gaudencio Urtats hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Meridiano AFC's Flavio Rubio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Prudencio Elizardo. Prudencio Elizardo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Eleder in the 79th minute of play forced Meridiano AFC's goalkeeper Rene Dolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Candido Eleder, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 87 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rene Dolfo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Gaudencio Urtats kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Estudiantes de La Plata were victorious despite being under pressure from Meridiano AFC for much of the match.
