Spectators: 7129 (Terracing: 5348, Seating: 1640, VIP seats: 141) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bartolo Rios kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the game, Norberto Suero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cañada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malligasta the free kick. Norberto Suero hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A collision led to Malligasta getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Augusto Ibañez hit a great ball. In the 13th match minute, Malligasta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Peli to maneuver through the defense. Rogelio Lertxun scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidoro Rioja, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Cañada's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Lertxun came free, but Isidoro Rioja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Malligasta's Rogelio Lertxun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidoro Rioja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bartolo Erlantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Silviano in the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Cañada's Gaston Hug got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute Malligasta were awarded a corner. Baldomiro Feo went to the cornerflag to take it. If Rogelio Lertxun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Saverio Cuartio fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cañada's protests and gave Saverio Cuartio a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Rogelio Lertxun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malligasta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Lertxun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bartolo Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Rioja having to interfere. The Cañada players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Malligasta were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bonifacio Silviano was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Malligasta's Bartolo Rios dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 64 minutes into the match, Bartolo Rios had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isidoro Rioja. Cañada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartolo Rios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Bartolo Rios who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Isidoro Rioja when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Malligasta booed when Cañada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bonifacio Silviano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Rogelio Lertxun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malligasta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Lertxun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rogelio Lertxun came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Malligasta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Lertxun couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cañada's goalkeeper Isidoro Rioja, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Bartolo Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bartolo Erlantz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Cuartio in the 97th minute of play. Malligasta played a much better game than Cañada and deserved their victory. The Cañada players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
