Spectators: 7107 (Terracing: 5332, Seating: 1634, VIP seats: 141) Cañada's Bonifacio Silviano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Leonides Rencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidoro Rioja was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. A collision led to Cañada getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Isidro Pirro hit a great ball. Isidoro Rioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Lidon in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Leonides Rencio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meridiano AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Isidoro Rioja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Rencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Cirilo Salvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rigoberto Tximitx kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Cañada's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Rencio came free, but Isidoro Rioja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cañada's Isidro Pirro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Dolfo. That made the score 1-1 after 28 minutes of play. Leonides Rencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Isidoro Rioja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonides Rencio in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Rioja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute, Flavio Rubio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidoro Rioja was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Leonides Rencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Meridiano AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonides Rencio made a kick off. When Meridiano AFC's Leonides Rencio in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cañada's goalie prevented a goal. 57 minutes into the match, Meridiano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Silviano came free, but Rene Dolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Flavio Rubio notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Cañada's Isidoro Rioja. Isidoro Rioja was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Isidoro Rioja managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Meridiano AFC's Leonides Rencio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 70 minutes into the match, Meridiano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Cuartio came free, but Rene Dolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Leonides Rencio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cañada's Isidoro Rioja was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Flavio Rubio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meridiano AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Rubio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidoro Rioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Rencio in the 77th minute of the match. Rene Dolfo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saverio Cuartio went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Gaston Hug kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A hard shot 87 in the game by Leonides Rencio from a close distance when the talented Isidoro Rioja managed to make a qualified save. Cañada's players were relieved. Isidoro Rioja was a little too slow when Flavio Rubio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 2-4. In the 94th minute Leonides Rencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Rioja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonides Rencio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Isidoro Rioja when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Meridiano AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
