Luciano Rafe went to the wrong direction when Rodolfo Pelayo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Lisandro Maties who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Luciano Rafe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gimnasia y Tiro's Luciano Rafe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y Tiro from getting a goal against them. Luciano Rafe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Boca Juniors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
