The audience thought a goal was coming when Anibal Eudoxio got free with Robustiano Sotero in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmiro Chayo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiberto Felo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filiberto Felo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmiro Chayo's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmiro Chayo in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filiberto Felo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Radiologos's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Chayo came free, but Filiberto Felo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Loreto hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Juan Cutberto scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filiberto Felo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filiberto Felo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmiro Chayo's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Filiberto Felo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Chayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Newells Old Boys's attack was well implemented in the 48th minute, but when Delmiro Chayo was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Sotil to strike the kick off in the second half. Armando Ihintza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delmiro Chayo might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filiberto Felo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delmiro Chayo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Delmiro Chayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filiberto Felo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmiro Chayo went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Robustiano Sotero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Sotil in the 61st minute of the match. Robustiano Sotero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Celso Loreto went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Eustacio Dalmau charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustacio Dalmau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Radiologos booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Dalmau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Chayos short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Filiberto Felo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Filiberto Felo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delmiro Chayo in the 91st minute. Radiologos's Filiberto Felo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Poz in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Delmiro Chayo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filiberto Felo. Delmiro Chayo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. The Radiologos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Newells Old Boys were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
