Spectators: 6929 (Terracing: 5296, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Delmiro Chayo started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Aurelio Raitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Robustiano Sotero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Raitin. When Romed Schaar fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AKILES S.C.'s protests and gave Romed Schaar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11thth minute of the game Delmiro Chayo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AKILES S.C.'s Cornelio Bernad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Adrian Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AKILES S.C.'s Aurelio Raitin got a free kick in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, AKILES S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Chayo came free, but Cornelio Bernad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Nunez Feliu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robustiano Sotero. Nunez Feliu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 48 played minutes AKILES S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Llorienzo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrian Nikola was the one to do the kick off. Newells Old Boys's Robustiano Sotero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Feliu in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Nikola came free, but Robustiano Sotero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Lehoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Robustiano Sotero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornelio Bernad made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Delmiro Chayo sent off a good shot on target. Robustiano Sotero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Nikola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th match minute, Newells Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Chayo to maneuver through the defense. Robustiano Sotero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Feliu in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Adrian Nikola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AKILES S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
