An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Breogan in the 3rd minute of play forced Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Eugenio Eleder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, ATLETICO SARANDI F. C.'s Raimundo Llorenc ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eugenio Eleder. Eugenio Eleder yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Eugenio Eleder was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Primitivo Berdaitz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Primitivo Berdaitz really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Primitivo Berdaitz to make the kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, ATLETICO SARANDI F. C.'s Primitivo Berdaitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugenio Eleder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Eugenio Eleder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Berdaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute.
