But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Arnalt couldn't finish the play. Samuel Veronica's late challenge caught a Pianello del Lario FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Veronica helped the player get up and apologised. Samuel Veronica hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ildefonso Benat was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Minas Karameros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. When Zeledon Vincente came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Picapiedras F.C fans jumped to their feet. Pianello del Lario FC's Ramiro Bihar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Vincente in the 24th minute of play. Vladimiro Ederono succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. In the 33rd minute, Timoteo Gipuzkoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Ederono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, Minas Karameros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pianello del Lario FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Picapiedras F.C the free kick. Minas Karameros hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Vladimiro Ederono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Bihar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Samuel Veronica ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Bihar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Vladimiro Ederono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ramiro Bihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Picapiedras F.C booed when Pianello del Lario FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Gipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Vincente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pianello del Lario FC's Bilgehan Erzan got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55thth minute of the game Bilgehan Erzan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Picapiedras F.C's Ildefonso Benat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vladimiro Ederono's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Ramiro Bihar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vladimiro Ederono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Bilgehan Erzan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ildefonso Benat was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 62ndth minute of the game Bilgehan Erzan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Picapiedras F.C's Ildefonso Benat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel Veronica was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 64th minute, Samuel Veronica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dario Napier kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Bilgehan Erzan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Benat having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Zeledon Vincente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramiro Bihar made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Vladimiro Ederono sent off a good shot on target. Zeledon Vincente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro Bihar having to make a save. Ildefonso Benat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bilgehan Erzan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Picapiedras F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Arnalt came free, but Ildefonso Benat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Picapiedras F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Picapiedras F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
