Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nikolas Abelas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fausto Illart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Toribio's late challenge caught a Leteque's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Toribio helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Leteque's zone, Nikolas Abelas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Baraquiel came out of the goal and Nikolas Abelas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Felipe Xabier came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Verdolagas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Xabier couldn't finish the play. Evelio Oriche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gustavo Baraquiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Oriche in the 27th minute of play forced Leteque's goalkeeper Gustavo Baraquiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Tartalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dario Tomi made a huge save. Dario Tomi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Illart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saverio Eladio kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Evelio Oriche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gustavo Baraquiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Verdolagas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Oriche to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Baraquiel came out of the goal and Nikolas Abelas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Oriche struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Gustavo Baraquiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Verdolagas FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Nicolas Saturnin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Fausto Illart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fausto Illart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Verdolagas FC's Saverio Eladio got a free kick in the 60th minute. Nikolas Abelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Baraquiel having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Nikolas Abelas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verdolagas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikolas Abelas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Saverio Eladio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustavo Baraquiel. That made the score 0-1 in the 75 minute of play. When Fausto Illart came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Leteque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Illart couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Verdolagas FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
