CALAMAR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LulanGa F.C the free kick. Herminio Tabor kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Eduardo Papo made in the 7th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by LulanGa F.C's Carlos Katia. After a rather tough play, CALAMAR's Herminio Tabor got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, LulanGa F.C's Gonzalo Ovando sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Melchor Azeari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustavo Colas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Melchor Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eriberto Mogel got free with Rogelio Frasco in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. LulanGa F.C's Gonzalo Ovando got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 35 played minutes CALAMAR got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Maju. Eriberto Mogel kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Melchor Azeari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Colas, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Leonel Botello hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artemio Maju to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Artemio Maju sped through LulanGa F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rogelio Frasco. CALAMAR's Melchor Azeari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Ovando in the 56th minute of play. Gustavo Colas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Azeari having to interfere. LulanGa F.C's Gonzalo Ovando got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melchor Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, CALAMAR's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Ovando came free, but Melchor Azeari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eriberto Mogel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogelio Frasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Gustavo Colas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Azeari having to interfere. Leonel Botello's late challenge caught a LulanGa F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Botello helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, CALAMAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Botello to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Colas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Gonzalo Ovando managed to get in a good position for a shot. LulanGa F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Ovando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melchor Azeari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despite being the better team, LulanGa F.C failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
