After a defensive mix-up in CALAMAR's zone, Saturnino Ospin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melchor Azeari came out of the goal and Saturnino Ospin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CALAMAR's Melchor Azeari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save CALAMAR from getting a goal against them. Sunte F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Oscar Honrio in the 43rd minute. Dario Jerano tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Melchor Azeari. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 43rd minute. When Eustaquio Regis fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sunte F.C's protests and gave Eustaquio Regis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Sunte F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Regis to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Artemio Maju to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Honrio in the 53rd minute of play forced CALAMAR's goalkeeper Melchor Azeari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sunte F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeo Manuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melchor Azeari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Saturnino Ospin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CALAMAR's Melchor Azeari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Honrio in the 90th minute of play. Amadeo Manuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Melchor Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Sunte F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
