Arsenio Cuarto might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Quintana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arsenio Cuarto ran back to his position shaking his head. Ariel Quintana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximo Hermon, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Maximo Hermon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Arsenio Cuarto had to leave the field with a concussion. Serafino Gines kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Agustin Chus scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ariel Quintana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruperto Hats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Etxahun, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Rosario FC's Ruperto Hats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Etxahun in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Rosario FC's goalkeeper Ruperto Hats had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvano Bingen. In the 27th minute Maximo Hermon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Quintana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Esquina AFC's Gavino Rutenio got a free kick in the 28th minute. Leandro Handi struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ariel Quintana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosario FC. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Ruperto Hats successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ruperto Hats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Etxahun in the 34th minute of play. Agustin Chus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Rosario FC's Agustin Chus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Quintana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Serafino Gines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rosario FC's Agustin Chus got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Maximo Hermon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Rosario FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agustin Chus was the one to do the kick off. Ariel Quintana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Hermon in the 52nd minute. Rosario FC's Maximo Hermon was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 54th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Fidel Patrido fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario FC's protests and gave Fidel Patrido a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Esquina AFC booed when Rosario FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Patrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ceferino Iratzeder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Hats was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Natalio Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ruperto Hats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustin Chus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Quintana having to interfere. If Agustin Chus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Fidel Patrido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Agustin Chus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Chus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Quintana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Agustin Chus advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-3 in the 77th minute. In the 87th minute Agustin Chus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Quintana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Handi charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Handi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maximo Hermon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Esquina AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rosario FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rosario FC.
