The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Ambrosetti's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Jacindo came free, but Santos Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute of the match CAMOL got a corner. Ambrosetti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gonzalo Raebert ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led CAMOL's Gonzalo Raebert to fire away a dangerous shot which Santos Montrel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Cobb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cecilio Lobo came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Santos Montrel could save by the left post. In the 14th minute, CAMOL's Eloy Jacindo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santos Montrel. Santos Montrel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Gigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wincent Absolwent in the 20th minute of the match. Santos Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Raebert, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the game, Ambrosetti's Wincent Absolwent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigi Buffon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Santos Montrel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wincent Absolwent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Buffon having to interfere. Gonzalo Raebert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santos Montrel came out and tried to block the shot, but Gonzalo Raebert slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 33rd minute. Ambrosetti's Santos Montrel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Ambrosetti from getting a goal against them. Santos Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Raebert in the 39th minute of play. Ricardo Louis struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Santos Montrel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAMOL. In the 41st minute, Matias Acevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santos Montrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Raebert in the 42nd minute of the match. Modesto Pelayo's late challenge caught a CAMOL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Modesto Pelayo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ambrosetti getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Modesto Pelayo hit a great ball. When Leandro Poncio fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CAMOL's protests and gave Leandro Poncio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, one of CAMOL:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CAMOL. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Phil Cobb made the kick off in the second half. Ambrosetti's Phil Cobb got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Oier in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Buffon saved CAMOL from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, CAMOL's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Cobb came free, but Gigi Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute Cecilio Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Montrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Jacindo in the 73rd minute of play. The attack was good, but when Gonzalo Raebert in the 74th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 78 minutes into the game, CAMOL's Eloy Jacindo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Jacindo in the 88th minute of play forced Ambrosetti's goalkeeper Santos Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos Montrel came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by CAMOL's Eloy Jacindo. But to his dismay, Eloy Jacindo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Haroldo Delfino kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Gigi Buffon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Wincent Absolwent. Ambrosetti's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
