But to his dismay, Wincent Absolwent quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Oscar Gil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincent Absolwent in the 33rd minute of play. Oscar Gil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Acevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, CA Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Oier came free, but Oscar Gil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Wincent Absolwent got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Gil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Oier, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 80 played minutes CA Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Ekhi. Ambrosetti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
