The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, David Jurgi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Herminio Amato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 10 minutes into the match, Barsa FC's Luciano Lleir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herminio Amato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Salvadore during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Barsa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Salvadore to maneuver through the defense. In the 21stth minute of the game Luciano Lleir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arauca's Herminio Amato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Lleir in the 24th minute of play forced Arauca's goalkeeper Herminio Amato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luciano Lleir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Lleir made a kick off. Herminio Amato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Pancho in the 52nd minute. Leon Felipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barsa FC's Marciano Delfino managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nicolas Lopez in the 58 minute of the game. Emilio Abecia made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Candido Joanes. Mariano Erlantz made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Barsa FC's Jacinto Pancho. Nicolas Lopez made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Emilio Abecia however managed to control. In the 65th minute, Nicolas Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barsa FC's David Jurgi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Herminio Amato but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Lleir in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Amato saved Arauca from getting behind. After having played for 74 minutes, Luciano Lleir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barsa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Lleir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilio Abecia struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Fabricio Peli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arauca. A hard shot 81 in the game by Luciano Lleir from a close distance when the talented Herminio Amato managed to make a qualified save. Arauca's players were relieved. Luciano Lleir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Arauca's zone, Luciano Lleir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Amato came out of the goal and Luciano Lleir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luciano Lleir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lisandro Hunfredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Pancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Herminio Amato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Luciano Lleir recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Herminio Amato. Luciano Lleir showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. When the match was over Barsa FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arauca throughout the match.
