Jeronimo Iztal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 minutes, Epifanio Aimar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ullmann fc and the Pelicurá FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, ullmann fc's Jeronimo Iztal got control of the ball when Cândido Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Basilio Gaitan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeronimo Iztal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Cândido Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jeronimo Iztal made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Nicasio Orlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Amancio Felipo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pelicurá FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ullmann fc the free kick. After 30 played minutes Pelicurá FC got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Felipo. If Cândido Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Pelicurá FC got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Felipo. ullmann fc's Jeronimo Iztal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save ullmann fc from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicasio Orlo was the one to do the kick off. Pelicurá FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vasco Cardoso in the 53rd minute. Vasco Cardoso made a great header on Pelicurá FC's corner, it was just that ullmann fc's Jeronimo Iztal managed to reach the ball for a save. Jeronimo Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Orlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes ullmann fc got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Matxin. 56 minutes into the match, Pelicurá FC's Nicasio Orlo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeronimo Iztal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Cândido Gaspar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pelicurá FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Cândido Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jeronimo Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Pelicurá FC's Amancio Felipo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Amancio Felipo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pelicurá FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Amancio Felipo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 64th minute, Amancio Felipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeronimo Iztal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Gaitan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes ullmann fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vasco Cardoso who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Vasco Cardoso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeronimo Iztal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Paolo Intxixu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cândido Gaspar sped through ullmann fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeronimo Iztal. Basilio Gaitan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ullmann fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
