Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5050, Seating: 1640, VIP seats: 5) When Paulo Elequemedo fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Gerli's protests and gave Paulo Elequemedo a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Deportivo Gerli got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Elequemedo. Felipe Quintana was a little too slow when Venancio Luken got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 4th minute. The score was now 1-0. German Espiridion stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustin Calder's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Celedonio Burni kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Olov Spets's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but German Espiridion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. German Espiridion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 19th minute Agustin Calder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Espiridion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. German Espiridion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Iyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Venancio Luken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of CHACARITA FC booed when Deportivo Gerli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Abilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandru Enache struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Felipe Quintana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CHACARITA FC. Alexandru Enache kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Deportivo Gerli booed when CHACARITA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Venancio Luken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Iigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 minutes, Laureano Abilio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Gerli and the CHACARITA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Venancio Luken made a kick off. 63 minutes into the game, Tadeo Iigo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Felipe Quintana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th minute, Ulises Abadia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Laureano Abilio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. German Espiridion was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. A sloppy throw-in by Fabian Chuse in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by CHACARITA FC's Celedonio Burni. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Iigo in the 76th minute of play forced Deportivo Gerli's goalkeeper Felipe Quintana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olov Spets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. German Espiridion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Deportivo Gerli's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Luken came free, but Felipe Quintana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Olov Spets left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Gerli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. German Espiridion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Calder in the 86th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CHACARITA FC's Ulises Abadia got a free kick in the 87th minute. Christian Walme shot from long distance in the 88th minute, but German Espiridion was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 89 minutes into the match, Laureano Abilio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of German Espiridion. CHACARITA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laureano Abilio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Agustin Calder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. German Espiridion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. German Espiridion made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Olov Spets sent off a good shot on target. 96 minutes into the match, CHACARITA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Iyan came free, but German Espiridion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Deportivo Gerli could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CHACARITA FC throughout the match.
