When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Nicanor Lazcano put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Isidro Idacio. Adrian Refugio came out of the goal and Ruben Petri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Lazcano in the 35th minute of play forced Banfield de Ramón Biaus's goalkeeper Isidro Idacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidro Idacio came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by La Veleta de Caballito's Nicanor Lazcano. But to his dismay, Nicanor Lazcano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Eusebio Edorta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Idacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Edorta in the 45th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicanor Lazcano in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Idacio saved Banfield de Ramón Biaus from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicanor Lazcano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Isidoro Sol notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of La Veleta de Caballito's Adrian Refugio. Adrian Refugio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Aristides Tohias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banfield de Ramón Biaus's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Tohias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Refugio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidro Idacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Lazcano in the 65th minute of the match. After 72 minutes of play, Banfield de Ramón Biaus's Aristides Tohias made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adrian Refugio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Ruben Petri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Amadeo Miliano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and La Veleta de Caballito's Adrian Refugio didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Petri in the 80th minute of play forced La Veleta de Caballito's goalkeeper Adrian Refugio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Veleta de Caballito's Adrian Refugio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sol in the 82nd minute of play. If Nicanor Lazcano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Christobal kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Eusebio Edorta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th match minute, La Veleta de Caballito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Berart to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Ruben Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Refugio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Veleta de Caballito's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
