Spectators: 7105 (Terracing: 5330, Seating: 1634, VIP seats: 141) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Norberto Lore kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Konstantin Popov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baldomero Rudolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Banfield MG's Angel Urritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Dalmai in the 11th minute of play. Leopoldo Guerau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Florentino Enol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Banfield MG defense, Baldomero Rudolfo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel Urritz. The Banfield MG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel Urritz should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Leopoldo Guerau ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florentino Enol was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Norberto Lore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacobo Cortez hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the game, Banfield MG's Marciano Bautista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florentino Enol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Ulises Muc hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Islas's Hernan Dalmai got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Hernan Dalmai made the kick off in the second half. When Leopoldo Guerau came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Banfield MG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Guerau couldn't finish the play. Islas were furious when Mariano Sal was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Mariano Sal hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Ezequiel Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banfield MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Lekubegi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florentino Enol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Islas's zone, Leopoldo Guerau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Enol came out of the goal and Leopoldo Guerau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 74 minutes Banfield MG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Konstantin Popov who took care of the corner kick. Islas's Konstantin Popov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angel Urritz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hernan Dalmai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Islas's Hernan Dalmai got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Hernan Dalmai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Dalmai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Islas's Konstantin Popov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ruperto Ekain, made in the 85th minute of the game. Roman Balasi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angel Urritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Dalmai in the 89th minute of the match.
