But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gheorghe Vernescu couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Oskarbi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Patricio Valentine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Godoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Valentine in the 27th minute of play forced Descado's goalkeeper Teofilo Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Narciso Oskarbi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Glock FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Oskarbi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Godoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Luzaide prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 44 minutes into the match, Descado's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Valentine came free, but Teofilo Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gheorghe Vernescu was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Ignacio Frascuelo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teofilo Godoy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Evelio Guillelmus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vicente Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Luzaide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Vernescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Gheorghe Vernescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Narciso Oskarbi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game was made by Segundo Galo with Benigno Bartolome as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Vernescu in the 96th minute of play forced Sporting Glock FC's goalkeeper Vicente Luzaide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
