Dario Salvidor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of r.e.f booed when Murphy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Paskal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Naldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Chirita having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Claudio Ralondo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Salvidor was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Murphy's Honorio Peyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dario Salvidor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Murphy's Orlando Lope seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Orlando Lope the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Murphy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Orlando Lope had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 30th minute, one of Murphy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Murphy. When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, r.e.f's Matias Manny got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Adrian Chirita. If Claudio Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Ralondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
In the 54th minute of the match Generoso Silviano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrian Chirita skillfully saved the ball. After 57 minutes, Claudio Ralondo made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. r.e.f's Dario Salvidor tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 61 minutes, Claudio Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murphy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Ralondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Murphy's attentive Damaso Perrando managed to snatch the ball when Hilario Perico made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. With his leg Dario Salvidor managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Murphy's Claudio Ralondo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 75 minutes into the match, Claudio Ralondo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dario Salvidor, 2-3. Adrian Chirita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Lope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murphy's Adrian Chirita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Naldo in the 81st minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Murphy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of r.e.f:s goal. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for r.e.f. Matias Manny stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adrian Chirita. 3-3. In the 89th minute, Leandro Edwardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The r.e.f fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. In the 93rd minute Bonifacio Pasqual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Chirita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Perrando hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Marciano Naldo notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Murphy's Adrian Chirita. Adrian Chirita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. r.e.f were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Murphy for a fine match.
