Celso Lain's shot from long distance in the 3rd minute was not bad at all, but Fitarruín's Norberto Misael knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 7th minute, one of Fitarruín:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fitarruín. Alvear Foot Ball Clubs' Norberto Misael just managed to throw himself towards the right post in the 9thth minute after Jonas Burnis penalty, and stop a certain goal. Wilfredo Sanchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Gualterio Egoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Delmar Eguntsenti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gualterio Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmar Eguntsenti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Egoi in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Alvear Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Egoi came free, but Delmar Eguntsenti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Americo Ignatius came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Norberto Misael could save by the left post. Delmar Eguntsenti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Egoi in the 28th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Guillermo Cisco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alvear Foot Ball Club and the Fitarruín players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Alvear Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Cisco to maneuver through the defense. Wilfredo Sanchez charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfredo Sanchez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fitarruín's Wilfredo Sanchez got a free kick in the 36th minute. Norberto Misael was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Leopoldo Argoitz. If Gualterio Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualterio Egoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonas Burni made in the 52nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Americo Ignatius. A collision led to Alvear Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Guillermo Cisco hit a great ball. Delmar Eguntsenti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Gualterio Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Orlando Cisco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fitarruín's Benigno Lehen got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualterio Egoi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Delmar Eguntsenti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gualterio Egoi in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmar Eguntsenti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The long shot by Tadeo Opilano in the 81st minute really tested Delmar Eguntsenti's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Orlando Cisco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Norberto Misael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Fitarruín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Lehen to maneuver through the defense. Fitarruín's Gualterio Egoi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With his leg Delmar Eguntsenti managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Fitarruín's Gualterio Egoi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Alvear Foot Ball Club's zone, Gualterio Egoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmar Eguntsenti came out of the goal and Gualterio Egoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fitarruín played a much better game than Alvear Foot Ball Club and deserved their victory. The Alvear Foot Ball Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
