The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After taking down the ball on Andino Sport Club's corner Luciano Elia fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Clemente Fernendo quite easily take care of the ball. Hernan Mergildo might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Fernendo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernan Mergildo ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Xabier kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Andino Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Licerio came free, but Nestor Rudolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes Andino Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Mergildo. Nestor Rudolfo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Licerio's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Leopoldo Licerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nestor Rudolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Andino Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Oier came free, but Nestor Rudolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Licerio scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Rudolfo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rafael Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Clemente Fernendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Licerio in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Rudolfo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Leopoldo Licerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andino Sport Club's Nestor Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Licerio in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Andino Sport Club getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Igor Clemencin hit a great ball. Alfonso Oier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernan Mergildo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Santiago couldn't finish the play. Andino Sport Club's Nestor Rudolfo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Andino Sport Club from getting a goal against them. When Humberto Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Fígaro Fígaro FC fans jumped to their feet. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Licerio in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Rudolfo saved Andino Sport Club from getting behind. In the 81st minute Alfonso Oier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Leopoldo Licerio came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Fígaro Fígaro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Licerio couldn't finish the play. The Andino Sport Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
