If Benito Aresti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Mano kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Albino Eusko kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Matías Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matías Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Bernaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of IMG J2 AS booed when LOS MUCHACHOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Romero in the 38th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías Romero in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Bernaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiburcio Cordera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matías Romero to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, LOS MUCHACHOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Cordera to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Koldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Rico having to interfere. Eduardo Abecia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of LOS MUCHACHOS booed when IMG J2 AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Lop didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Bernaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Garaona in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Matías Romero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Bernaldo was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Aaron Rico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Abecia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Delmar Koldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron Rico. LOS MUCHACHOS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmar Koldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Matías Romero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Augusto Bernaldo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. LOS MUCHACHOS's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because IMG J2 AS had won, even though LOS MUCHACHOS had held more of the ball.
