Francisco Perutxo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Urre in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Silverio Urre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Perutxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Rioplatense's Francisco Perutxo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Rioplatense from getting a goal against them. After 14 played minutes Deportivo Rioplatense got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Astudillo. Carahuasi AFC's Virgilio Lamberto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Deportivo Rioplatense. Dráusio Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Maraman having to interfere. When Fausto Lano fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Rioplatense's protests and gave Fausto Lano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Fausto Lano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Maraman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Breckenfeld in the 34th minute of play. Deportivo Rioplatense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Lano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dráusio Breckenfeld stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
