The referee ignored ColonStaFe's protests and gave Baldomiro Bernad a yellow card for diving instead. 8 minutes into the game, Alberto Urti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Rioplatense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ColonStaFe the free kick. After 8 played minutes Deportivo Rioplatense got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Urti. 10 minutes into the match, Luciano Honrio notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Deportivo Rioplatense's Francisco Perutxo. Francisco Perutxo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Baldomiro Bernad was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 13 played minutes ColonStaFe got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Bernad. In the 20th minute, Fausto Lano made a precise shot to the right of Victor Arias. ColonStaFe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, ColonStaFe's Luciano Honrio got a free kick in the 29th minute. Victor Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dráusio Breckenfeld took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Arias. Victor Arias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 39th minute, Benito Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Perutxo made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Clemente Iaki sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the game, Luciano Honrio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francisco Perutxo. Luciano Honrio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leandro Larpe to strike the kick off in the second half. Fausto Lano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Victor Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Perutxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Larpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, Leandro Larpe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Francisco Perutxo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Larpe in the 64th minute of play forced Deportivo Rioplatense's goalkeeper Francisco Perutxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute Luciano Honrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Perutxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, ColonStaFe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Nevada to maneuver through the defense. Dráusio Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Arias having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Fausto Lano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Rioplatense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Lano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dráusio Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Victor Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Iaki scored 4-2 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Perutxo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Perutxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolo Pereyra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Larpe's late challenge caught a Deportivo Rioplatense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Larpe helped the player get up and apologised. Eustacio Laurendi hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, ColonStaFe could leave the field as winners, despite Deportivo Rioplatense having more of the ball for most of the match.
