After a rather tough play, Eldorado FC's Oscar Socorro got a free kick in the 10th minute. With his leg Antonio Tome managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when River Plate's Nils-Emil Wickander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Miguel Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of River Plate booed when Eldorado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Beila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eldorado FC's Antonio Tome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Libertad in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Nils-Emil Wickander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Tome. Eldorado FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nils-Emil Wickander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 26th minute, Saverio Domeka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Tome came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Miguel Tolino. But to his dismay, Miguel Tolino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. A hard shot 36 in the game by Nils-Emil Wickander from a close distance when the talented Antonio Tome managed to make a qualified save. Eldorado FC's players were relieved. Antonio Tome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Libertad in the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisito Eguzki got free with Antonio Tome in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nils-Emil Wickander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Antonio Tome when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Antonio Tome showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Wickander, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Oscar Libertad took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Tome. Antonio Tome dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 58th minute Nils-Emil Wickander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Tome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, one of Eldorado FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Eldorado FC. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for River Plate. Oscar Libertad stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Antonio Tome. 6-0. Antonio Tome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisito Eguzki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo James in the 67th minute of play forced Eldorado FC's goalkeeper Antonio Tome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Nils-Emil Wickander put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Antonio Tome. 81 minutes into the match, Nils-Emil Wickander notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Eldorado FC's Antonio Tome. Antonio Tome was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Wickander in the 86th minute of play forced Eldorado FC's goalkeeper Antonio Tome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
