Edgard Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Crescencio in the 3rd minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, LA ESPERANZA's goalkeeper Uriel Evangelista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Castillo Laguno. Ulises Crescencio took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Munio. Edgard Munio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Uriel Evangelista was a little too slow when Tadeo Celino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-1. Ulises Crescencio struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Edgard Munio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA ESPERANZA. Castillo Laguno hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Astor Lauaxeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Espartillar AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Crescencio came free, but Edgard Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Ulises Crescencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA ESPERANZA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Crescencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 minutes of play, LA ESPERANZA's Ulises Crescencio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Munio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 45 minutes, Ulises Crescencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA ESPERANZA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Crescencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half LA ESPERANZA were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulises Crescencio to make the kick off. Ulises Crescencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Espartillar AFC's Tiburcio Bembe got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 63rd minute, Freddy Turi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. LA ESPERANZA's Uriel Evangelista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Gaizko in the 66th minute of play. Uriel Evangelista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Gaizko, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Castillo Laguno in the 69th minute of play forced LA ESPERANZA's goalkeeper Uriel Evangelista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Ulises Crescencio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edgard Munio, passed just outside the right post. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
