Espartillar AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Neuquén the free kick. A collision led to Espartillar AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Tiburcio Bembe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Donio in the 18th minute of play forced Espartillar AFC's goalkeeper Edgard Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Domingos Estevon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castillo Laguno struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Iker Florian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espartillar AFC. Edgard Munio made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Aílton Dracena sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Domingos Estevon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Neuquén's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Estevon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Munio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingos Estevon got free with Edgard Munio in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Espartillar AFC's Edgard Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Secondo Gol in the 46th minute of play. Domingos Estevon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Gaizko to make the kick off. Felix Tino struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Uriel Evangelista kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Teodosio Thomas's late challenge caught a Espartillar AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodosio Thomas helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Neuquén! The referee gave Espartillar AFC a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiburcio Bembe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Deportivo Neuquén's Iker Florian. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Neuquén's Cirilo Frasquito got a free kick in the 85th minute. Secondo Gol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgard Munio having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Deportivo Neuquén lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
