Andres Bras might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres Bras ran back to his position shaking his head. Vinicio Pacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Jeremias Tulio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Bayern München's Andres Bras got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute Vinicio Pacho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vinicio Pacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, FC Bayern München's Narciso Fagildo got a free kick in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, FC Bayern München's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Tulio came free, but Melchor Gaueko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded FC Bayern München left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than LA Lakers.
