Memphis Depay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonzalo Fidele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Santillán's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Tabby came free, but Aurelio Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Generoso Sengrat kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The goalkeeper, Aurelio Vidal, was totally fooled by Aywa's Ruben Norino, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Gonzalo Fidele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelio Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Belarmo in the 93rd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Santillán had played much better football throughout.
