Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 5 minutes into the game, Matade's Eugeniusz Majorski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgard Peyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Benedicto Romo took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Peyo. Edgard Peyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Benedicto Romo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute Eugeniusz Majorski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Peyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marciano Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Eugeniusz Majorski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Higinio Sayveon came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Matade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Higinio Sayveon couldn't finish the play. Edgard Peyo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugeniusz Majorski's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugeniusz Majorski was the one to do the kick off. Edgard Peyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Espiridion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Benedicto Romo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matade's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedicto Romo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Eugeniusz Majorski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A well placed Eugeniusz Majorski short distance shot in the 64th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. 75 minutes into the match, Eugeniusz Majorski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgard Peyo. CLUB ATLETICO BOCA JRS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugeniusz Majorski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Matade made a substitution. Mauro Oliverios replaced Cristian Espiridion. Marcelo Cefero struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Edgard Peyo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matade. CLUB ATLETICO BOCA JRS's Edgard Peyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Sayveon in the 80th minute of play. Eugeniusz Majorski succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 82nd playminute. Matade's Benedicto Romo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauro Oliverios kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgard Peyo. That made the score 0-9 in the 92 minute of play. When the match was over Matade could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CLUB ATLETICO BOCA JRS throughout the match.
