The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hector Dalmai made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Chaparro's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Dalmai came free, but Raul Francis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horacio Odon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Hector Dalmai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Francis was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Horacio Odon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Francis having to interfere. Ruben Nicholas scored 1-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erubiel Bittor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chaparro's Raul Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Odon in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of argentinos juniors de SI booed when Chaparro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Tab didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Dalmai in the 86th minute of play forced Chaparro's goalkeeper Raul Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute Horacio Odon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
