When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Felipe Marko put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bo Kielstedt. After having played for 6 minutes, Ernesto Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DEPORTIVO SABLAZO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Tab was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Felipe Marko managed to get in a good position for a shot. DEPORTIVO SABLAZO's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Marko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bo Kielstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 11 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Juan-Alfredo Fuster. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Abancens in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualterio Salvadore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Felipe Marko fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DEPORTIVO SABLAZO's protests and gave Felipe Marko a yellow card for diving instead. Felipe Marko hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th match minute, DEPORTIVO SABLAZO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Marko to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Silvestre Gorbea put in a rough tackle. After 27 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Gorbea. In the 28th minute Cirilo Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Kielstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan-Alfredo Fuster tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Bo Kielstedt. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-0 in the 30th minute. DEPORTIVO SABLAZO's Gualterio Salvadore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Aires in the 36th minute of play. Roman Quinto's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Quinto helped the player get up and apologised. 43 minutes into the game, Bernardino Nuxila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DEPORTIVO SABLAZO the free kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Felipe Marko came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the DEPORTIVO SABLAZO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Marko couldn't finish the play. If Felipe Marko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marco Abancens scored 2-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gualterio Salvadore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Felipe Marko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bo Kielstedt. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bo Kielstedt should have stopped the shot. Juan-Alfredo Fuster hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Felipe Marko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bo Kielstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Marko, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. DEPORTIVO SABLAZO's Severiano Dubardo suffered a torn muscle in his foot after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 95 minutes, Fabio Ereinotz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the DEPORTIVO SABLAZO players grew even worse after the yellow card.
