FC Grego's Mauricio Hitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save FC Grego from getting a goal against them. Joaquin Esdras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Pedro Augusto Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Grego's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Augusto Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ambrosio Tiniebra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Mauricio Hitz made a huge save. Mauricio Hitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Espiridion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Eldía getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ambrosio Tiniebra hit a great ball. Jairo Espiridion's late challenge caught a FC Grego's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Espiridion helped the player get up and apologised. Jairo Espiridion kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Rocendo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Espiridion in the 51st minute of play forced FC Grego's goalkeeper Mauricio Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Adriana Stanislao came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the FC Grego fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriana Stanislao couldn't finish the play. Eldía's Raimundo Galoer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Esdras in the 78th minute of play. Mauricio Hitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Rocendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the game, Robustiano Botello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eldía's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Grego the free kick. The supporters of FC Grego booed when Eldía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Botello didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Eldía were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Grego for much of the match.
