With 18 minutes on the clock, Wilfredo Bras commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Castaño AFC! In the 22nd minute, Israel Berto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marmolado club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 25 minutes into the match, Anselmo Laurendi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicanor Edur. Marmolado club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Laurendi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 31st minute Atilano Luix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Edur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes of play, Castaño AFC's Gavino Chesus made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicanor Edur was left in no man's land by his defense there! Castaño AFC's Teodosio Felipillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Castaño AFC from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Marmolado club's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Chesus came free, but Nicanor Edur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Israel Berto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Teodosio Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilano Luix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Castaño AFC's Teodosio Felipillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Berto in the 63rd minute of play. Teodosio Felipillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Urti in the 67th minute of the match. Atilano Luix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicanor Edur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilano Luix got free with Nicanor Edur in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Marmolado club getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Gavino Chesus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-5. When the final whistle went the supporters of Castaño AFC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Marmolado club side.
